Thank you for keeping the catchphrase alive, Sipos.
As for the rest of you: "How Daaaaaaaaare You? How Daaaaaaaaare You All?"
I'm not sure I'm interested in doing any revivals, it's quite unusual enough for me to replace, but the role of Tracy Turnblad is just too juicy to pass up. Can't wait to find out which company I will be in...
Unless we're talking Broadway revival of Yankees, but I can't see them doing that so soon after the last one. I think the only Applegate on Broadway this year shall be Charity Bundy.

This version of DAMN YANKEES is set in the future. The show open with Marc Shaiman sitting in front of his huge flat screen monitor watching the TONY Awards, and stroking Woo and Ree, as he sings for another TONY win.
"I'll give anything for just one more chance kiss my male husband on national television. We'll be the only couple to have done it TWICE!"
Suddenly, Namo, appears as Mr. Applegate. If Shaiman agrees to give Applegate his soul at precisely 3am in the early morning hours after the TONY Awards, Applegate will give Shaiman his youth, and his looks. He'll turn him back a few decades, and he'll get the ball rolling for the first Broadway revival of HAIRSPRAY, the long-forgotten and under-appreciated musical hit.
[Because this is in the future, and anything can happen...]
Applegate brings on the star of the HAIRSPRAY revival, and Namo [playing a dual role] appears in a chubby suit, dressed in a bright blue dress wiht a matching ribon in his hair.
But, Applegate knows he's gonna need some assistance. So, backstage after the first rehearsal, as Tracy (Namo) sits alone in her dressing room, who appears? Noneother than Lola (IRIS CHACON).
"Whatever Lola wants
Lola gets..."
Cuchi Cuchi.
But the inquisitive theatre critic, as played by Corine, smells a rat. She's determined to find out who this "star" is, cast as Tracy. The out-ot-town papers have no mention of her!
[I dunnno, I kinda like it, so far]

I appreciate the post-modern nature of the script, and I love the idea of getting Mr. Marc Shaiman back on stage, but I'm just not sure the treatment would work, exactly as it stands.
I'd much rather see Marc playing Skip St. Thomas, a role he played more than half a dozen times in the mid to late '80s on Saturday Night Live in some of my favorite sketches ever, those featuring The Sweeney Sisters.
I'd like to see St. Thomas sell his soul to me, the devil, Mr. Christina Applegate, in the hopes of reuniting the long-feuding medly-singing chanteuses.
If, god forbid, Nora Dunn and Jan Hooks are unavailable to play Liz and Candy Sweeney, Mr. Marc Shaiman and I could play them. We'd be great, but not as great as Nora and Jan.
