People always make other people swear on their children's lives on reality shows and inevitably the person always turns on them. Does God really damn their souls to hell because their parents swore on them?

wait, what?
I thought Reaper was a reality show. They write that stuff???
Incidentally, I got up out of bed to sign back on to stress that I neither watch "The Biggest Loser" or (shudder) are religious.

I only watched like two or three episodes of Reaper. It never grabbed me.

Posted: 2/6/08 at 9:35amI am not religious, but I do watch The Biggest Loser. I'm hoping it inspires me to get off the couch and get back in shape, but no luck yet. Since I'm not religious, I don't think anyone gets damned to hell, particularly if their fingers are crossed when they make the promise.

I don't think they do, either, so I don't get why people make them swear on the lives on their kids like it's binding or something and get all indignant when people break the promise.
What if a mom when on one show and swore on her kid's lives and broke the promise and then the dad when on a reality show and did the same thing? Are the kids double dammned?

Phyllis, I SAW that last night! I was thinking, just admit that the reason you're pissed is that you got played and are going home, and quit acting like you are MORE offended by the swearing. The best part was, the guys didn't seem to be care at all!
It looks like she really did follow through with the weight loss and exercise when she went home, though, which was admirable.

No, but he's now gay...which is a fate worse than death.
