i doooo! jonathan schwartz is da bomb! i esp love "the sunday show" where he plays a bunch of different stuff. really great channel, man. i rotate between that and the 60's on 6- who can resist a channel with an hourly "phab phour phix"? not i! the broadway station is way lame though. they have awful and seemingly random selections. one time i heard "you don't know this man" on there, and it's a very touching, sad song. they followed it up with "the little things you do together" from company. i was like, wtf? did they open itunes and click "play random"? however, i do like their downstage centre feature, most of those interviews are very good.
anyway, yes, xm 73 is the swinginest place to be!

What other staions on XM do you all reccomend. I is all new to me. It came with my new vehicle and in the car I always have either Chrome or Franks Place on. What are the other good Jazz stations? And what are some other good contemprary stations?

I don't know who was singing. It was playing in the other room and I didn't read the screen.

I have a pocket-sized XM2go MyFi connected to my stereo speakers. I've stopped using the tuner. The commercials on the NYTimes' classical station WQXR became unbearable.

Usually listen to 110 one of the classical stations, 28 Broadway, and 73.

How is the showtune station? I have sirius but since they dumped Air America, all I ever listen to is 77 Showtunes-- I love Seth! How are the showtunes on XM!?

Showtunes on XM are very good. It's channel 28. There are several very good shows. There are also popular recordings of show tunes on "Frank's Place," too.

I can't recommend XM enough.

I wish they'd merge! I love the idea of Franks Place, but I got Sirius because they had Air America AND NPR AND BBC as well as Showtunes.

I guess I'll have to switch to XM..>I like that walkman thingie!

That's "MyFi."

It's terrific. I don't take it anywhere, but it is totally portable and comes with all the gadgets, including a personal antennae.

I simply connect Myfi to my amplifier. Sound quality is terrific. I have to force myself to listen to my cds. Its so convenient to just turn it on.

Yes. I listen. It can be amazing. I've heard things I probably would have never heard otherwise in my life. It's highly addictive. It's especially great to listen to on a lazy Sunday afternoon with a little bit of hangover action going on!!

Oh! My other favorite station? If you like music to lull you to sleep...check out Audio Visions. It's a great seque into dreamland.

My XM came with my car.. but I am also able to listen to it through my computer ( which is connected to our amplifier)

Love our XM!! The Broadway station is fun. We have 8 stations pre set, the 70's, the Mix, The Blend, Broadway, xm Cafe, the rest are news 7 traffic stations (very useful when trying to get into the City.
Jose' I am so jealous,I want a myfi! I think it will be in my stocking for Christmas! (If not from Dave.. from ME!)
