i was searching facebook for something and found a group called: "Rest in Peace French Stewart (1964-200
"
this is what the description said: "French Stewart the briliant comedy actor who portrayed Harry the alien on 3rd rock from the sun and inspector gadget in Inspector Gadget 2 passed away this week at the tender age of 44 after crashing his smart car on Sunset Boulevard. He leaves behind his wife Melinda and his sons French Jr. and Alberto. French was currently working on a made for tv adaptation of the Diary of Anne Frank in which he plays a villainous Nazi Colonel, it was said to be a major departure from his previous work. His memorial service is next Monday with John Lithgow expected to give a rousing speech."
I have searched Google for news but I have found nothing. is it true?

Posted: 3/17/08 at 11:47pmNo, this isn't true. He doesn't have children and his wife's name is Katherine. It's just a stupid joke.

the last thing I saw him in was "The New Partridge Family" (pilot only, project was scrapped) as Rueben Kincaid.
While the episode was ill-concieved from start to finish, French's work was singularly brilliant as the harried, cynical manager. Mythic.
