Fulkerson Procedure

Has anybody else had this surgery (or any other tibial tubercle osteotomy?) I've gotten all of the information from my surgeon, but I was hoping for first hand experiences so I can go in with realistic expectations.

So, was it worth it? What was your recovery like? Anything that helped you through (or that you wish you had done)?
