What a great, great movie.
And Mintz-Plasse is the highlight.
McLovin will live on as a geek icon
sorry I have a brain, I'd rather fight of a gaggle of geese than watch that mindless piece of drivel
your loss. This movie is easily the funniest film I've seen in the past five years. I had to be dragged by my friends but easily the most fun I've had all summer. Hilarious!

Elphaba, truly your loss.
Superbad is the crowning acheivement of Judd Apatow....and if you havent seen it you cant possibly know for sure if its drivel.
I don't know about the imperative thread title, but I really did love this movie. Not everyone's cup of tea, I guess, but...a lot of people's.

This movie was hilarious and touching. It was like a spiritual movie version of Freaks and Geeks.

Jesus.
Drivel?
Please. It's not only the funniest movie this year, it's also smart and has heart. Your loss.
Namo, you have permission to call me JC, Jesus is so formal.
The commercials of it are enough to make me realize it is nothing that would possibly interest me. Cruels comment only makes me think that more.
again, your loss.
I am an intelligent mom who has a degree in the history and criticism of art and I loved this movie. The language was very realistic for high school boys. My son said many of his friends talk like that (not like the characters in High School Musical). Sometimes, it's okay just to enjoy a movie for the sake of fun instead of fine art. I posted in another thread my favorite lines- "they said that would happen in health class" "take off that vest, you look like Aladdin" and the one that will be the Vote for Pedro- "I am McLovin". There were some touching scenes in this movie as well.

Haha yea this was a good movie. I wouldn't call it my favorite but it was funny. I just saw it last night and it was very relate able. It made me think of my guy friends from high school. They were all about the booze and babes. It was real (well except the mclovin part that was a lil stretched). But yea it definitely was funny and turned out better than I thought.
We just saw it and I hated it. It's just not my type of movie.
A really funny film with a great soundtrack.
I saw this yesterday and thought it was absolutley hilarious and basically dead-on. Being a highschool junior I can say completely honestly that boys at my school talk EXACTLY like that. So hilarious though, definitley worth seeing.
Ugh, double.
I loved Superbad
Saw it last night.
Completely hysterical.
A bit gross, but hysterical.
All the penis drawlings were hysterical.
Yeah, it was great. The critics loved it too. One of the best movies ever made about male friendships.
I thought it was okay, though I was expecting to laugh more than I did. I recognized a lot of people I knew in these characters, and the cops (Seth Rogen & Bill Hader) were the best part of the whole movie. I was disappointed that it wasn't as good (in my opinion) as The 40 Year Old Virgin.

Usually, this type of movie is NOT my cup of tea (didn't see Knocked Up, didn't like 40-year-old-virgin), but I thought Superbad was down right hilarious! Not only that, but it was honest and fairly well written. A lot of the comedy was situational, but the plot was completely character driven.
And for Sondheim's sake, it's starring George Michael Bluth!

I'm gonna echo the sentiments of it being awesome! And jam man is right, it's starring Michael Cera from Arrested Development, how can you go wrong?
I was laughing throughout, and I recommend it to pretty much anyone. It probably is more of a guys movie (lots of swearing and drinking and trying to get laid), but both of my sisters greatly enjoyed it as well.
Go see it!
