What about programs offering an MFA degree?

For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

not necessarily. "good grad school for musical theatre" could offer an MA, MFA, even an MS (doubt it!) or a PhD, etc.

The type of program I am looking for is a "good" grad program for theatre that HAS musical theatre incorporated but doesn't have to be the focus. 50% would be nice. And they have to offer an MFA.

Grad school for musical theatre is generally not offered merely because when you want to pursue strictly musical theatre then you need to get out in the field while you're still young. Acting, however, is offered by a lot of well known programs, particularly the Yale school of drama, which probably is the most famous of all graduate programs. Musical theatre though is rare and generally not necessary unless you feel that your undergraduate studies did not provide adequate training.

a lot of MT performers have gotten their undergrad in MT and then (the ones i know of anyway) go onto grad school in voice/opera or acting. there are so few MT Grad programs that these routes are more common.

BUT -- there are few who go to grad school. walvemalve is right, if you have an MT degree, you probably want to be performing in your prime rather than going to school.

Central Florida, has a three year program. Roosevelt used to have one, CCM offered one once as well. However they only accepted two a year. or something.
