Hi. I realize this probably doesn't merit a thread but I need help. Tomorrow I have a shoot at The Metropolitan Building in LIC at 44th Avenue & 11th Street. I've consulted a subway map but it is imprecise and I can't seem to figure out the closest stop. I have a terrible fear of going to some place I don't know in the outer-boroughs. Please Queens folks, can you give me some info? TIA!!

Call 311. They should be able to tell you that information.
Nope - they can't help me. They referred me to the MTA who are not open at the moment. Just thought I'd give the know-it-all gang on BWW a shot.
Amanda Plummer suggests that you call your contact on the film and ask them.

I did and they were not so helpful. Amanda needs to call her LIC crack dealer.
Honestly, I called people, I looked on the net -- I'd just like a straight answer from someone trustworthy.
but i'm feeling generous.
7 train to vernon/jackson 1st stop after grand central in quuens.
not 23rd street, ely avenue on the E ? i'm so confused
My bad. Usually Amanda is so trustworthy when it comes to this sort of thing.
hopstop says ely ave on the E as well and gives a map -- so i'll do that. thanks kids.
Yeah, thanks KIDS...lol.
Oh please. I meant that to be nothing but funny, not a cue for an argument.
Good luck with your "shoot".
ive been trying to figure out if theres a way for me to get to St Anns Warehouse in Brooklyn via public transportation from Astoria, Queens- limiting me to buses and the rare wheelchair friendly train. All the options Ive found would take me over an hour. Bleh.
