Going to the 12:30 am showing tonight at AMC 25 on 42nd.
Join us for some sexy Jesus.
Sounds gassy, but I got work tomorrow morning.
Have a blast!
It looks really funny, but I'm concerned b/c the early reviews have been scathing.
My mom's coming in tonight, so I'll be greeting her...but someone I'm close to saw it at Sundance and loved it.
It's at 75% at rottentomatoes at the moment. But I get the feeling that even with bad reviews, this will be appealing in a Waiting For Guffman meets Camp kinda way.
I'll wait for the Broadway musical adaptation.
I saw this last week and posted a review. here it is again.

John "Fun Fun Fun" Simon is not amused.
The worst movie I have ever seen

wow! John Simon needs to pull that 20 lb. leather bound large print edition of "Hamlet" out of his all-too-small arse, and lighten up a bit. No, it was not the best movie by any leaps and bounds that I have seen, but on the other side, it was far, far from the worst that I have ever seen.
I mean, the film is a spoof on self-important actors, and the theatre in general, and has some very funny moments. What was he expecting? an actual ernest sequal to Hamlet? God- get 1) a clue, and 2) a life.
Although I can certainly appreciate his way with words, one of the major reasons John Simon annoys me--aside from the homophobia and sexism--is his overuse of meaningless superlatives. Is this REALLY the worst movie he's ever seen? And Catherine Keener has two Oscar nominations, so I'd hardly call her an "actress deficient in everything you can name."
