I do too, but to be fair, I think I would laugh just as much watching *anyone* dancing in parachute pants in any context.

The Hammertime pants aren't parachute pants. People started calling them parachute pants in the last decade because they weren't there when real parachute pants were in style and the MC Hammer pants were all blousy and balloony.

These are parachute pants.

By the way, I love that commercial! It makes me laugh every time.

so, are the kids calling their dad a washed-up two-hit wonder with religious aspirations? shouldn't the music in some way or form be relevant to the person or occasion?

Here's my question: Did they use the original video footage and A) digitally replace Hammer with the dad dancing?

or B) digitally superimpose the dad's head on Hammer's dancing body?

or C)Re-do the whole thing from scratch, with new back-up dancers?
