Mr Wonderful ( my boss ) has us in for 1/2 a day . It is a totally wasted day as no one will be in to reach by phone. The thought of paying us for a full day off apparently was too much for him to bear. A perfectly good 4 day weekend down the drain

Bring on the turkey!

For lunch today, my school served turkey pieces with broth and mashed potatoes. It was okay, but it's nothing compared to the turkey I have on Thanksgiving.

Making the pie pastry and pumpkin filling tonight.

Everything else is made starting early tomorrow am.


If you're cooking on Thanksgiving don't feel overwhelmed.
Just remember it's a chicken dinner with an extra big chicken.

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! Enjoy the four-day weekend. My sympathies, Mr. Roxy! I was supposed to be on vacation this week and wound up working two of the three days, so I can imagine how you felt today. My wishes for a much better remaining three days to you! And happy Holiday Season to all!
