I suppose this is the right place to say hello (hopefully).
I joined here a while ago (I think it was last February as "Light My Candle") but just forgot to post! I got busy with school and stuff. I'll try to be more active this time around.
Anyways, I'm Genine and I'm from Maine but New York is my second home. I love to perform and work backstage as well as design (I hope to pursue a career in costume design). My current role in theatre is a dresser and right now, I work in retail helping people find shoes... what fun!
I love love LOVE Cabaret, as you can tell from my username and avatar, it is one of my favorite shows and I was blessed to be a part of it this summer. I wasn't a Kit Kat girl, but I was on deck crew and we got to dress up so it was lots of fun. And I got to work with some pretty awesome people too.
I think that's it for now... if you want to know more, just ask!

Welcome - it's nice to know a little about someone new. There's another poster here who works as a dresser, so he'll probably find you at some point.
Have fun, don't be afraid to speak up - and make sure your thick skin is in place and ready
Welcome to the board!
I was involved in a production of Cabaret this summer as well! I like you already.
Welcome, and have fun!
HUZZAH! Hope you like it in our little domain.

Welcome to your new addiction.
Thanks for all the welcomes guys. I feel at home already.
No worries, DG, I learned to adapt a thick skin very quickly in summer stock! :)

Genine! Hey there! It's Paula!

Marvelous, I like your style....come sit by me.
Hi Paula! We just keep bumping into each other, don't we! lol But that's a good thing I suppose.
I feel so happy! I know someone here now!
Of course I'll sit by you, Elphaba.
Ohh that reminds me, I saw a marching band show the other night and one school had these awesome Elphaba flags (they did "No One Mourns The Wicked").

did they have an instrument go horribly sharp like in the cast recording?
Hah, no... I don't think they did... they're like a four star marching band. But it was pretty funny because I was sitting there with my Mom and I when I read they were doing a song from Wicked I was like "I bet you they're going to do 'No One Mourns The Wicked'." Or "Dancing Through Life"...but I don't know how that would've turned out on the field.

Hey Genine - I'm originally from Maine (I just moved to Florida this past April). Welcome on board....it's nice to see that there's at least one more Mainiac, uh, Mainer :) here.
