Help Choosing Photos for Gallery Submission

I've got some applications going into galleries over the next few days and I realized I'm at a loss for which pictures to apply with...

In the past, I've been accepted based on my overall portfolio, but these galleries just want 3 pictures each. Neither gallery has given information as to what type of show they are looking for.

If you've got a minute, I've posted the pictures that I've been considering below. Any feedback would be helpful (don't like any of 'em? That's just as useful!)

Those are all beautiful, Heidi. It depends on what they are looking for and what type of gallery they are, but I would probably submit the photos that are the leas manipulated by Photoshopping. They are effective, but it is my opinion that when looking for photos for an exhibit they will be looking for your photographic ability and not so much your photoshopping ability. Does that make any sense? But really, nice work.

Sueleen - that makes perfect sense. Those all have very minimal photoshop though, so unfortunately that doesn't help me narrow it down any more /c: And you're right, without knowing what types of galleries they are, it's hard to pick arbitrarily.

Then I would recommend using one of the more realistic shots (#1 or #3) and one of the more abstract shots. And probably at least one in B/W and one in color. Other than that I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

Out of curiosity, though, what are the objects in #3 and #6?

The fourth is a close-up of a guitar fret, no? And I think the last one is the inside of a lightbulb. Three...hmmmm.... one of those tin whirlygig things?

3 is in front of a ferris wheel, 6 is a lightbulb, and yes, 4 is a guitar fret

I really like 2, 3 and 6. They're all fabulous though. I wish I was that skilled with a camera.

Yeah, wow! I think they're all beautiful, but if I had to pick 3 favorites, I'd say 1, 3 & 5.
