I love her. I think she's SUCH an inspiration. Are any of you going to watch the Susan Boyle documentary airing on TV Guide Network on the 13th?
Saw this sneak peek today and now I definitely am... (Haha, well I was going to before that, but this sealed the deal...)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7C1MYzoOuOE
I Dreamed a Dream...
This may be unpopular, but I don't get her. Her voice is good, not great. She's not attractive - so what? We need to use this poor woman to point out how shallow our society is? She'll be forgotten in a few years, replaced (hopefully) by better voices.
That said, it makes me happy that she (through no fault of her own) has made some showtunes mainstream again.

Meh. I think much of her popularity has a lot to do with the 'disconnect', if you will, between her voice and her appearance. We don't think it's remarkable when an attractive voice comes from an attractive person.
i wouldn't do her.
I get the whole thing and I'm behind it. We know darn well that the mainstream idea of "unattractive" people are not usually paid much attention to and rarely are in the spotlight with their talents.
My heart soared when she opened her mouth to sing and that glorious voice came out, and she sure showed them. I love it, and good for her!
If I hear "I Dreamed A Dream" one more time I will not be held responsible for my actions.
Her voice is nice but not outstanding. I agree with Bluemoon in saying that her success mainly comes from the fact that people are astounded that someone that looks like her can sing well. It really says something about the society we live in.
"It really says something about the society we live in."
It SURE DOES! That's why I'm so happy for her success~
This woman is backwards, (not in coming forward) expectations levels are zero, when she opens her mouth to sing, all preconceptions of her go out the window.
Everyone has something
Good for her for all her success, but quite frankly, I'm sick to death of her.

Doodle, thank you so much.
PS: YOU can sing to me anytime. Doesn't matter what the song is.
I just wanted to see if you picked up a baseball bat, darlin'!
Frankly, I think the original poster IS Susan Boyle.
Well, after hearing your rendition I still can't be held responsible for my actions but in a totally different way. And it doesn't involve baseball bats. Unless called for.
Why was this posted on both boards?
Because Susan posted on both, silly!
She needs to sell some more cds!
LOL!
I said this on the other board, but "Meh"
Or intern? "Jcaryn" has also hit musicals.net and iLounge.

I think Susan Boyle is the greatest living interpreter of song and perhaps the single most influential human in all of history.
She is god-like in her perfection.
Only Orfeh comes close to being on her level.
Better her than William Hung or Wing.
I forgot to add in my previous post that I'm getting pretty tired of her. And I'm REALLY tired of logging onto BWW each day and seeing the latest Susan Boyle news.
I'm happy for her and everything, but honestly she's not that great a singer. If she were good looking, she never would have made an impact, and might not have gotten that far on X-Factor. Like I said, happy for her, but her success is way overblown and is starting to get annoying...
I dreamed she died.
Diva! I just snorted wine out of my nose!
