Submitted BUCKET OF SMILES, a play that I wrote, for approval to the school's theater director. And...wouldn't ya know...it got approved! So that means that I finally have my first full-scale directing job, aside from a few short films that I made in my spare time.
So yeah. Go me.
If any of you would like to read BUCKET OF SMILES (Which isn't that long. Only about 20 pages or so.), just PM me.

Posted: 3/15/06 at 9:33pmWithout giving too much away, it's basically an experimental dark psycho-comedy about a cross-section of people who are completely addicted to the greasy, artery-clogging, blood pressure rising, yet so very tasty, fast-food of a giant McDonald's-like chain called Yummwell. The ads lure them so seductively, the food tastes so resplendent, that they just cannot escape from the incredible grasp that this restaurant holds on their lives. To them, Yummwell is more than an enjoyable, convenient source of food. It's something to be worshipped.

Congrats! The play sounds very...original, for sure.
I've been really inspired lately, so I've been tossing around ideas for another play. But yours is definitely more interesting than any of my crap. *sigh*
