I am strongly thinking of auditioning for THE MUSIC MAN here in my local town (they are finally doing a good show) and I am thinking of doing "The Kite" from YAGMCB for the audition since it has the sort of speed singing throughout:
"Little More Speed
Little More Rope
Little More Wind
Little More Hope"
And it's not as fast as "Trouble" but it might give the casting people an idea how I do with that kind of rythm.
Do you think that is a good choice or any suggestions?

If you start with "Little less talk, little more skill" and go to either "room to spare" or the end, you get the fast stuff in there and you get some range. Just and idea.

The second I saw this, I knew you'd be asking for an audition song
I think "The Kite" should work out fine.
"Shut up! It's been 29 years!!!" --the incomparable Patti LuPone in her MUCH DESERVED Tony acceptance speech for Gypsy.

Kitzy-Poo . . . you know me all too well.
Thanks for suggestion, Ashley. I think I might just do that.
