No Rath, this is about computers. Next week I'm planning to go from PC to Mac. Can anyone recommend a model that's good for someone like me who's technologically slooooow on the uptake?

YAY FOR YOU!!

haha, my baby is like a month old and I loove hiiiiiim. It's taking me a bit of a long time to adjust, and I still have to e-mail my friends with frantic help questions every so often, but it's so. much. easier.

I have a 15 inch Powerbook, but I guess everything's different now that they made the switch to Intel? I would go to an Apple store and talk to one of the sale representatives; that's what I did, and it was SO helfpul.

I love my iBook. I'm actually on my second one at this point. Its capabilities exceed anything I am likely to want to do with it, so I felt no need to head upward to the Powerbook.

Sorry, but my PC hated me. But the feeling was pretty mutual, you know, after he almost exploded.

Great move. If you are going for a laptop.. both the powerbooks and the medium sized Ibooks are great. It depends on what you use it for. And if you are going for a desktop.. I LOVE my Imac. Net to my lover.. it is my best friend.

Just to point out one problem right here-I type a word, and nothing shows up on my screen for several seconds. It took me five minutes to type this sentence. I'm past warranty (dell) so I can't get tech help. This all happened since I installed my new f***ing NORTON!!!

Hey Jane, Fatty Fat Lover, if you're not planning on using the rest of your Norton subscription, I will gladly take it off your hands. Mine expired a few weeks ago and after an ill-advised search regarding Tommy Lee's member, I apparently got the Trojan virus. (Ironic, huh?)

Tiff-if the Norton is transferable, it's yours!

Rath-no bad reputation-just really popular-it's a good thing.

Emcee-thanks for that link!

Arrrrgh! This typing one letter every five seconds is unbearable!

i have the middle size powerbook. it is awesome. the only difference is really how the ibook and powerbook looks. the ibook is white and plasticy and the powerbook is silvery and metal like. lol.

Are those "books" laptops or desktops? (see how dumb I am?)

sorry Jane, PC's are SO much better than MACS.....even schools are getting away from MACS. MACS are the work of SATAN!
