This Friday I am leaving for a 10 day cruise. Nobody really knows me here but I just don't want anyone to call the missing person police.

I will send warmth up north. I'll be relaxing through the Carribean and Panama Canal. Hopefully everything will be fine...(I've been hearing a lot of missing people stories that were on cruises--kinda scary.) I'm gonna try to come to BWW once in a while since I have free internet on the ship but I may not be able to because the internet takes forever in the middle of the ocean.

I hope everyone has a wonderful relaxing vacation/holiday/New Year's party!

P.S. **Don't be jealous but even though I am Jewish and 21, I still get to sit on Santa's lap and get a little gift...hehe. ~*~Shhhh....don't tell him~*~

Well, I didn't want to brag but now that it was brought up I'll say that I've been on 12 cruises so we are platinum members and get free internet, wash and other things...

Free Internet? You're so lucky! I'm going on a 7-day cruise starting this Saturday, and I think Internet access is something like 50 cents per minute (at least that's how it was on previous vacations on the same cruise line).

yeah, 70 cents a minute--when I was on a cruise a year ago today.

I spent 100 dollars and got like..2 hours or something. It was ridiculous. It was actually pretty fast (at times).

I was on a cruise down the Yangtze River in China and they had Internet Access, but it was SLOOOOWWW. It was Satellite based.

It only cost $8 for three days, so who am I to complain.

It was enough to check email and update friends and family.

It was great to see the Yangtze before the damn is finalized.

The internet is pretty cool to have in the middle of the ocean. On the last cruise I went on (my honeymoon) I won 30 minutes of free internet in a drawing they had. I also won $150 worth of spa treatments too. I got very lucky on that trip.

Alrighty my dear friends- in the morning I am flying to embark on my 10 day cruise. As I said, I will try to come online once in a while and make a post or two, however, as many of you know, the internet speed is on the high seas is quite slow.

I'll be here all the time in spirit and trust me, I'll be missing BWW.

I just came to say hi before I leave to go to the cruise for the high seas of the Caribbean. I was crazy and we are actually leaving today, Saturday- not Friday as I previously thought. We just flew down to Florida on Friday but we are getting on the ship soon. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday and New Year. I will miss BWW sooo much!

I will do my very best to check in once in a while to satisfy my addiction a bit.

Not sure if anyone cares...I'm just satisfying my BWW addiction. Hence my reading of "A Million Little Pieces" I suppose a BWW addiction is better than the addictions James Fray had.

The cruise is wonderful. Gosh, I needed relaxing especially from this past semester and upcoming semester.
Weather is beautiful. We are going to Ocho Rios (sp?) Jamaica tomorrow. We are going on a tour and swimming with Dolphins and then going to Dunn's River Falls. (I've been there before and LOVE it!)

I can't wait for tonight because the show is a Broadway mix. The singers and dancers are wonderful, even when the ship is a little rocky.

Food is great but what else is to be expected? I just don't want to weigh myself when I get back home...

The internet is working pretty fast so I will probably try to get on some time soon again. Sorry if this was a boring post. Just thought I'd update. I needed by BWW fix anyhow

am I missing something? Why would anyone want internet on a ship? I mean I may stop in an internet cafe in Krakow or Budapest next summer.......but I would not want a laptop OR internet my entire vacation.....ugh, the point is to get away

We did a cruise once......didn't like it. We found out we are more of a fly somewhere, and then GO kinda just explore couple. Get me my railpass, and let me go.......

And Elph, the railpasses are wonderful. Just be warned though, most trainlines expect you to pay a reservation fee, on top of your railpass. Now Poland is nothing, a reservation fee generally costs around 20zl ($6), but in countries like Austria, they like to milk as much as they can.

Hey everyone. Coming for my BWW fix today Today was Jamaica *No Problem Mon*

I thought I was gonna get killed in the cab. They driver, however, said "Don't fear, Henry's here!" I thought I was gonna die- Especially when we were driving up the moutain and other cars came toward us.

We went to dolphin cove and swam with the dolphins. I got a picture of the dolphin kissing me
Those animals are so smart. The dolphin our group was with was named Peppe. He sang to us and danced...ADORABLE!

Then we went to Dunn's River Falls. I've gone there before and glad I had the experience again but boy was it scary. My mom went with me and my brother and dad went somewhere else. The whole group held hands. The water was 15 degrees below the outside temperature but my adrenaline was so fast and I was so scared I didn't even mind the water. My mom and I kept falling and then I would slide down the rocks. It was partly funny, however, the tour guide didn't think so. I was laughing so hard that I couldn't even get up.

Well, hope some of enjoyed that little story. I have to get dressed for dinner and then it's island night

BTW, the Broadway mix show last night was great. It was more older Broadway songs but never-the-less...it was still great!!

Ok- sorry to bump this up again as it doesn't seem many people are interested but I have an ubberly exciting story. Tonight I went to the early show and this guy Todd Pettiford was singing. The cruise director said he had been in RENT and automatically I popped up. Toward the end of the show I asked one of the cruise staff if I could meet him. She was so kind and made a big effort for me to meet him. He was told there is a fan of his so he came down to talk to me specifically.

I was soo nervous but we had to have talked for over 30 minutes!! We talked and anylyzed the RENT movie and the characters he played on Broadway. He also did Lion King. He is so wonderful and it wasn't like anything I've encountered. I mean, I usually am psychic in this kind of situation but after a few minutes, it was like we were friends. We were laughing and he gave me a high five when we agreed on stuff. I wasn't shaking and I was as calm as I've ever been; he was just so kind and willing to talk and there wasn't any kind of rush we were in. It was wonderful! He even asked if I was a RENThead.

He even roomed with Taye Diggs. As he put it "I roomed with Taye Diggs before he was 'Taye Doggs'" haha

I told him about this site and told him that Anthony and Fredi post here so he said when he got home he would come on and look at it. When I get back home, I will e-mail him and if he decides to join, I will make him his own thread.

I got some pictures with him and whatnot. Anyway- I just felt like bragging a little. Sorry

Update if you are interested- yesterday we went to Panama City. We learned how the Panama Canal works and watched people work it. I was never interested but it was awesome! Then we took a boat ride to an Indian village- interesting to say the least. Our tour guide had to translate because the Indians spoke a totally different language. It was soo cool!! They dress so different. The men wear thongs with a piece of cloth hanging. The girls and women wear tons of beads but no bras. Very Very different culture. They live in little huts. No electrity...the thing is- they don't know computers or anything electric so they don't miss it. They spend their days dancing, going to school, swinging in hammocks, hunting....

Also- the singers and dancers on the ship are great. Ever since I saw them the first days one looked EXACTLY like Cheyanne Jackson. I saw him walking around the ship the other day and asked to get a picture. I will post it eventually. I told him that he looked like Cheyanne and he said he gets told that All The Time. He said he saw Cheyanne a while ago in "Avenue of the Stars" (i think thats what he said)...anyway- very nice, talented, cute guy!

I'm going to watch him in another show tonight!! I already saw it once but I am going to it again instead of the comedian.

Uhh- Guys, I am home and hysterical crying. Why does this happen to me. I love vacation and cruises and then I come home and realize I have to be back to reality and it upsets me so much! All I think about is having to wait another year and hoping nothing happens that will prevent it from happening. I try to go by the quote "Don't cry because it's over, smiles because it happened" but it's so hard right now. All I think about is my classes for this semester.
I can't stop crying!! I met some wonderful people on the cruise including the guy that was in RENT. Also, one of the singers and dancers on the cruise (the one who looks like Cheyanne Jackson) was awesome. He is adorable and we talked for such a long time. He gave me a huge hug last night and told me he hopes to see me again. He is such a cute, funny guy with a great personality. When I find someone who I like or get along with, I have to leave them....WHY?!?!

I HATE WHEN THIS HAPPENS TO ME!! I wanna do like an internship on a cruise during the summer- I wonder if thats possible. Actually, I can't this summer because I have to take two classes. AARRGGG!!! I was so happy for 10 days and now everything seems to be making me sad. I was always around happy people and now I am alone in my apartment washing clothes and making my own food.
I wish I could just enjoy what I had and not be so upset that its over.

I appologize for this post, I just needed to get it out.

Oh you are having classic case of cruise withdrawal, my friend. Perfectly normal. Take 3 boat drills, 1 sailaway party, 1/2 a cup of sexy legs compitition, 4 very potent "scareoke" sessions, and call me in the morning

If that doesn't help - just constantly have YMCA and the Electric Slide playing in the background. Actually, any Caribbean line dance song will do - CENT! 5 CENT! 10 cent! DOLLA!

POPULAR- that made me smile- thanks

You wanna work with me on a cruise for a summer? I would do it in a second if I had the time and guts.

I guess it is cruise withdrawl- and I don't like it. I don't like reality. I like getting fed. I like my bed made- with very tight sheets. I like the small showes- (Well, maybe not.) I love the shows! I like the announcements in the middle of the night of a kid missing. I LOVE IT, AND I MISS IT!

oh- and guess what?!?! Yesterday, we played Broadway showtunes trivia and my team won- PRINCESS CRUISE WATER BOTTLES- woohoo!!! Some of the songs were quite recent such as Hairspray, RENT, Wicked... It was very fun! And the two people behind us were singers and dancers on the ship- they got them all right but they obviosuly just played for fun.

Anyway- Popular... if you have any other cruise memory tricks to make me laugh- that would be great. My eyes are tired from crying...and getting up at the crack of dawn.
