I have asked this question before, and I have got some answers, but at the time I wasn't using my own computer and I was not allowed to download anything.

So, I want to download DVD's that are not available on itunes to my i-pod. How exactly can I do this?

As far as I know, you'll need a 3rd-party software -- Tube Hunter, for example -- to rip the DVD to your computer in a compatible format.

But isn't there something that you can download from the internet that does this?

Yes, I should've been more clear. There's lots of downloadable software out there that'll work. Search "DVD ripper," or something like that.

maybe I am misunderstanding, but I can put my cd's in my computer and they are in my itunes section, then transfer to my iphone and they do appear there, just without the album cover.....

is what MTV is looking for different?

It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story... AGATHA CHRISTIE, Life magazine, May 14, 1956

CDs or movies? Movies don't do that.

Download DVD Decrypter. This removes protection from your DVD and moves it to your hard drive as a video file. Then...

Download videora. Run the decrypted file on your hard drive through this program. It converts it to a format compatible with ipod and automatically drops it into itunes.
