Personally my life is like a soap opera, but it would definitely be more fun if it were like a musical.... however, I never stop singing, so I suppose in many ways it *is* like a musical revue of sorts lol

I would LOVE my life to be a musical! Breaking into song whenever i feel like it...oh wait i already do that. In my high school SO many people are in love with RENT (is am i) and you would be amazed how often you can hear a song from there being sung on the top of a person lungs in the halls. Then someone else comes up and joins in while passing by .. pretty soon there are a whole group of people singing Out Tonight!!

Same here- but it's like that in my highschool too- almost everyone is a RENThead.

Yes- life would be grand if it were like a musical. But my life already is, because I sing almost everywhere, even during math class when we were supposed to calculate how many minutes in a year...."Seasons of love..."....or just in drama class, or chorus, or randomly in a vacant lot....

Yes, my little world is a musical; I go around humming from class to class... I went to a drama festival recently, and when our entire dinner table broke out into "My New Philosophy" I felt right at home. Aah, drammies. We're a crazy bunch.
My camp sounds like GirlInTheFrock's school...there's always someone around yelling out Voicemail 1.

I loved how in the last ep of Friends Pheobe kept saying "If this was a musical, we'd have a song right here, like..." and start singing.

There was a pretty active group of RENTheads in my high school- the difference was that I went to a science magnet school, so they would be memorizing molecular biology by setting it to the melodies of the musical.

When I was still in HS, we were on break from rehearsal for our musical and hanging out in the lobby. Well we had a big conference table in the lobby and the group of us decided we were going to re-inacte La Vie Boheme from Rent. This was amusing, including the fact that our principal came out of her office and began singing along with us... and then when the kid "playing Angel" jumped up on the table, he broke it.

It was VERY amusing :)

It depends on the musical. I would certainly not like my life to be like Urinetown or Les Mis, but something like 42nd Street or How to Succeed might be nice.

My mom calls me "The Walking Broadway Musical" (and at times, the walking broadway phone book lmao) because I am known to just start singing at any given time :)

you guys have no idea......our spring variety show is "broadway nights" so everyone and their brother is singing in the halls lately....
it's great.

In history class we were learning about the presidents who had been assassinated, so all of the sudden we had 13 kids singing "ambassador to France" at the top of thier lungs.....

Last year, my friend and I would sit in the hallway and go through her many theatre vocal selections books, singing all the ones we knew. Not many other people at my high school were into musicals, but most of them seemed to enjoy it!
