I'm assuming you've checked out the websites for each school? Thats a great place to start.

I personally don't know anything about them.

i have alot of friends at UMCP, and i know that it is a very good school, but HUGE. Like, ginormous...it has many good programs, I'm looking into it for theatre, my sister was accepted to play lacrosse. So it is a very good, and very large school with MANY opportunities...

hope that helps a little

awkward.

My husband went to UMCP and loved it. He had a wonderful 4.5 yrs there. From what he says, it is a major party school. The size didn't seem to bother him because he was able to find a niche and was mentored very closely by an incredible professor. The only negative, from my opinion, is that there really didn't seem to be much to do in College Park. I think there were three or four bars when he went there and very few restaurants. Of course, DC is fairly close, so I guess that balances it out.

Have fun with your selection process! I know Princeton Review used to have a book (now they probably have it online...I feel old) where they evaluate the colleges from the students' perspectives. It was pretty accurate when I was looking at colleges way back when.
