I'd like to see him do more real acting.
Ditto. He can do so much better. And he's such an interesting actor that I really wish he would do something a bit more worthwhile.
There are no unworthy roles, just unworthy actors.
I can't wait. Hopefully he can still deliver the "Freddy" wit.
He was amazing in LITTLE CHILDREN.
What a waste. I won't bother ranting again about what a horrible idea it is to start remaking these horror movies, especially in franchises that still are going strong and have an incredibly large fan base. I have absolutely no hope this is going to be any good whatsoever, just going by the remakes of other iconic films such as HALLOWEEN, FRIDAY THE 13TH, the so lame it still boggles my mind PROM NIGHT, and so on. And now doing a Freddy movie without Robert Englund??? Give me a fvcking break!
Okay, it was just a *little* rant. :)
Actually I like the reimagining of Friday the 13th. It brought it back to it's roots instead of Jason taking Manhattan and going into space.
HALLOWEEN on the other hand - *BARF*
They won't have to do much make-up on him.
I just hope he plays it SUPER dark instead of the wise cracking Freddy of NOES 3-8
I've always loved him... I hope he actually does something with that part.
For me, the most memorable role he's done was in Breaking Away for some reason, actually.
