I wrote a Christmas song called Merry Christmas. I want to get it cut by an established artist. Does anyone know who will be recording a Christmas CD in 2005? http://www.jimcolyer.com/music/

MERRY CHRISTMAS
We got so many presents under the Christmas tree
Santa Claus has been good to you and me
As you steal a kiss under the mistletoe
Merry Christmas to you
We got turkey and dressing smothered in cranberry sauce
We got honeybaked ham and a bottle of wine of course
In the candlelight, I propose this toast
Merry Christmas to you
Snow is falling, friends are calling
The neighborhood's dressed in white
Bells are ringing, the choir is singing
Their version of "Silent Night"
We won't forget the real meaning of this day
The day on which our Savior was born
It's Jesus Christ on my Christmas card
Merry Christmas to you

Have you posted ANYTHING related to Broadway since you joined that doesn't involve you plugging your music or your website? Just wondering.
Tiff, you took my words exactly. i think i've mentioned that before...
Jim Colyer sucks! and not in the GOOD way!!!!!
Please leave, oh you vermin of crap!
How do I ask if those lyrics are a joke without being mean?
Yes, I have posted about Kristina!, the Swedish musical by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus of ABBA. I am trying to find out if they have their English version finished and, if so, when it will come to Broadway. I have been to New York a few times although I have never seen a play on Broadway. I have seen many Broadway shows when they toured. The latest was ABBA's Mamma Mia, which I saw here in Nashville. I have seen Andrew Lloyd Webber's musicals and others. I am writing songs in Nashville. I have written 400 songs and see nothing wrong with promoting my work. I believe in the Christmas song and what it says. I will pitch it all year and try to get it cut. There are about 300 million people in this country and each of us is blowing his or her own horn. Why should I be any different?

That's all very nice, but please remember that this is a Broadway board -- members of this site are here because they love and want to discuss theatre, not because they have something to sell. The Off-Topic board is for these same theatre-lovers to indulge in other subjects that are of interest to them. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth to see the board turned into a forum for spam.
