#1Just wondering iif you get to enjoy NYC
Posted: 2/11/08 at 8:00pmI just watched the Broadway Beat clips of Broadway Backwards, and what I would have given to have been able to go to that. I'm very lucky to have just come back from the City, and I truly appreciate my being in a financial position to get to treat myself occasionally. But I was wondering if any of you posters actually get to take advantage of all that the City has to offer? Do you go to benefits? Have you been to see Seth down at Don't Tell Mama's? What about CD signings or Don't Quit Your Night Job? What about Shakespeare in the park? Broadway on Broadway? These are just some of the events that ocme to mind. Just wondering and being envious if you do. . .

I try to enjoy the things I can. Because of work, I'm sometimes too tired to do anything.
I usually try to catch Shakespeare in the Park every summer. At Christmas there are many things that I try to attend such as concerts. I try to attend lectures when I can. Unfortunately, I've sort of given up on the movies because they've become so expensive. It used to be that a person could catch an independent film and if it wasn't good it didn't matter. Now that movies are $11, I have to be more selective.

If I had the cash, sure--I'd be out alot more.
But I do pretty well without any--went to a good friend's bday party that had some famous folk at it--that was pretty cool. Not that I said anything to them or anything--so I guess it was kinda moot.
