But wasn't the final question rediculously easy? "Name two of the four Shakespeare plays in which ghosts appear onstage."

Ken chose Hamlet and Richard III. I would have chosen Hamlet and Macbeth within a heartbeat - two of Shakespeare's most famous plays.

I thought the final Jeopardy question was supposed to be hard. But you'd have to be an idiot not to have gotten that one. You think they're making the questions easier on purpose?

Before final Jeopardy I had accumulated 15,800 dollars because my mom, brother and I always keep score (we're nerds). I wagered 4,500 dollars and guessed Hamlet and Macbeth. Yay! I wish I had bet all of my "money". Go Ken!

I guessed Hamlet and Julius Caesar. Oh well. I just wish i'd seen the 'broadway' day, or whatever it was the other night.

BlueWizard - as you are posting on a theatre-related website, it makes sense that you would consider knowledge of Shakespeare to be a 'given' - and I will even grant you that, in terms of all-around education, awareness of general Shakespearean content is pretty basic. HOWEVER, there's a lot of knowledge out there, covering many areas of interest. To say that someone is an 'idiot' because they don't happen to have one little bit of knowledge that you do is short-sighted at best, and narcissistic at worst. I dare say there are answers to questions that you might not know that someone else may consider elementary.

Sorry, not "idiot" - that was presumptuous of me. But this question (or answer, as it were) could have been a regular, single-Jeopardy, $200 one. Usually the final Jeopardy round involves in-depth knowledge of a topic, not a general sweep of famous plots that really have made their way into pop culture.

The question was an easy one for the category. I'm glad that he finally gave Alex the thrill of having him beat the record and then some! As an English major he knew that he would know it.
