I really enjoyed the finale tonight. I'm so upset that 2009 will be the last season. Tina and Bette dancing together was hot, and Helena rocked!!! I was a little confused about the end- I had the feeling that Jennie was talking about Shane, not Nikki. Did anyone else feel this way?

I thought it was pretty good. And, I too think she was talking about Shane - though with Jenny, who knows.

Adele - man, I hope she gets hit by a car.

Shane - broke up with Molly for Molly's own good, but no one will know why she did it.

Jodi - what a beyootch. Nice way to blindside Bette. I know Bette pissed her off by getting back with Tina, but talk about "A woman scorned."

Alice - love her!

Helena - love her, and loved her taking over Shebar and the Planet - And Cindy rocks!

All in all, entertaining. I hope the last season provides some closure for the characters.

Yes, that was an evil move by Jodi. I felt so bad for Bette. Adele is a psycho- they should have listened to Max. He was on to her all along.
Alice is cool and funny, but she seriously has to make up her mind about her life. The longest relationship she had was with Dana.
Shane is just too cool for words....if she ever calmed down, she'd become boring!
Jenny is just...Jenny...weirdo!!!

I thought this was the episode before the season finale so I was not prepared to part with Season 5. Serious cliff-hanger!

I did also...but do you think she's in love with Shane or Nikki? I think that whole scene was written so well. I don't know who she was referring to in her speech. (Jenny)
I was secretly hoping that she was going to push Adele off the edge of the platform...ha ha

I think she's in love with Nikki and has (or had as it now may be) a really strong friendship with Shane.

She is absolutely not in love with Shane. It was Shane she was addressing when she said "you've broken my heart," though, because Shane was truly her best friend. I'm actually really annoyed that Shane and Nikki went there...it seemed completely out of character for Shane. Slut that she is, her redeeming quality has ALWAYS been her loyalty to her friends (okay, I know Helena got screwed out of a lot of money for the wedding reception, but that was a side effect of Shane bailing on the relationship with Carmen). Shane and Jenny's platonic love for one another--which is really one of the purest forms of love there is--was something Jenny had always been able to count on.

I have never been on the Jenny/Nikki train. I thought the "love" seemed so forced.

Helena was freaking awesome, and I relish her scenes with "mummy" (Holland Taylor)! Thank God we don't have to hear Dawn say "my lover, Cindy" EVER again. I was hoping she would save The Planet, but was hoping even MORE for her to save the day with the movie studio.

I was really hoping for a spectacular downfall for Adele. Guess we'll have to wait on that.

I can't believe this is the same girl from Flashdance. Jennifer Beals turned into one hell of an actress. I love Bette and Tina and hope they can go the distance.

Me too...Bette and Tina are my favorites. I was so happy when they got back together. That dance at the party was HOT!!!!

I wondered as well if she was talking about Shane after the whole exchange last week, but when she was looking for them, she was calling for Nikki.

I didn't think it was much of a cliffhanger, but just because I don't care about Jenny at all. Last season ended with her drifting off in a raft. They should have just left her afloat. The Les Girls movie idea was the worst thing that ever happened to this show besides Dana's death. I will say Jenny seemed more grown up in this episode than she has in a few seasons. I think I read somewhere that season 6 was going to be very short.

Yes, I read the last season was just going to "tie up" loose ends- not a full season. Actually, Jenny is my least favorite character, and I was hoping that she'd be lost at sea too. I know that she was calling for Nikki, but I thought it was to tell Nikki that it was over before she told Shane her true feelings for her. But, after reading blueroses's post, it makes a lot of sense. Jenny just felt "betrayed" that's why she was so upset. Enough about Jenny-
I'm happy they brought Helena back. I hated her when she first came on the show, but her whole attitude is different now. She is now one of my favorites...
I think that next season, Max is the one who is going to bring down Adele.

Finally saw it last night.

I agree with blueroses. I hated that they had Shane hook up with Nikki. It seemed totally out of character.

And, I'm so glad that they brought Helena back. I hope she's back for the whole last season.

Probably. And, if she'd been drunk, I may have cut her some slack, but she knew what she was doing and she had to know how Jenny would feel about it.

But, they've also been foreshadowing Shane and Nikki since the bike ride. First, Nikki is chatting Shane up about Molly when they were riding and then she was checking her out in the showers at the campsite.

I saw a few random episodes a while ago and really have been meaning to start from the beginning. I was worried I wouldn't be able to relate to the characters but I found them complex, captivating, and flawed. Maybe I'll pick up Season 1 today.

Years ago when it first aired I didn't think I'd like it but after seeing an episode from the middle of season 2 I was totally hooked so I watched it from Season 1 on, right before season 5 started this past January. NowI'm completely caught up and frankly kinda sad that after season 6 it's over. But the writers are working on a spin-off with one of the characters.

Now I pose the question: which character do you think the spin-off is going to revolve around?
