After reading BroadwayBoob's post in the "don't post in this thread" thread, I was inspired to put up some photos of the beautiful Lucille Ball before she became the comedienne we all know and love.

Thanks Erika for this thread...she was a stunning woman. I think people lost the fact that she was so gorgeous because we all got wrapped up in her comedy. Why do people think that funny people can't be beautiful? She is the one who proves that theory wrong.

Even on I Love Lucy she was a beautiful woman. It might be easy to overlook that because mainly what comes to mind is her mugging comically for the camera.

Desi was pretty hot too.

I completely agree, boobs! I used to tell my mom all the time that I thought she looked like Lucy, and she'd get upset, like it wasn't a compliment, and I'd say, but mom, she's beautiful! And that was me as a child, just seeing how pretty she was on I Love Lucy. Once I saw some of early films, I realized how right I'd been.

1) Lucy at RKO in 1941
2) Lucy as a blonde in the 30's
3) Lucy in (I think) the 40's

I know, I am one...or at least part. I guess I could only be part hot in that case. Actually that makes some sense becasue I never thought Desi Jr was as hot as his dad and he is only half Cuban.

P.S. to Boobs: I posted this to you in the other thread, but just in case you didn't see it, you do know that your avatar pic is of a Lucy impersonator, right? I'm sure you do, and it's the boobs that really caught your eye, but I wanted to double check.

Actually one of the women in that Ziegfeld Follies 1946 picture does look a bit like the Evil Queen pics that Erika posted. the one standing in the center.

It was a tough week and as soon as my laundry is done I'll be muchh more relaxed. I have too many DVDs right here to go renting but I might consider buying BEST FOOT FORWARD if I see it in the store, because I LOVE LUCY!
