...for 2 weeks because I'm getting my tonsils out, and have to stay in bed

My fanfare won't be as pronounced as PalJoey's, but I thought I'd throw mine in as well.

I know I'll come on occtionally to see what new surprises await on this board, but my voice will not be heard.

Frankly, I wish I were going to Italy instead.

It doesn't have much to do with typing, but usually after surgery (and I've had quite a lot in my small time) I am way to weak to do anything, let alone whip up witty remarks that seem required a lot of the time around here.

PalJoey, I'm thinking of having a Liza/Judy/Barbra (to get ready for her concert) movie marathon. I see "A Star is Born" (Judy's version of course), "Meet Me In St. Louis", "Summer Stock", "I Could Go On Singing", "The Sterile Cuckoo", "Cabaret", and "New York, New York" getting some airtime while I'm down and out lying in my bed.

Possibly some "Ziegfeld Follies" if the mood arises :)

Also on one of the days, my mom and I are having an all day Lucy-thon. So while I'm lying there, missing work and payment, sore throat and all, I will watch the entertainment of a lifetime. Which isn't that bad of a trade really.
