No, not the soup...the huge Jewish singles party on Christmas Eve. Has anyone ever attended the event? Is it fun?

I've been to the one in Atlanta, and it was a great time. If the one here is anything like the one there, it'll be a lot of fun!

I had friends who went and said it was like a meat market. The girls were mainly in their 20s and 30s, the guys were older.

I hate set up parties like that, but if you go with a group of friends and just get drunk, it's a pretty good time :)

This sounds like the "Ballyhoo" held in Atlanta in the 1930's (made famous in the play "The Last Night of Ballyhoo").

On the other hand, if we're talking soup, the Edison Cafe has great matzo ball soup.

Everyone is invited to my home in Hartford for matzo ball soup on Christmas Eve. Actually, I think it says in the Torah that we must eat Chinese food.

Actually, my synagogue has their annual kosher Chinese Food dinner on Christmas. Kosher Chinese food is brought in from Monsey, NY.

The best Christmas Eve singles party for Jewish Singles is held by www.LetMyPeopleGo.com. I'm friends with the guy who runs that company. They get more people and have them at better venues. They also run events through their other company, www.NetParty.com.

I've been to a few LetMyPeopleGo events. Same thing- balding, older sleazy guys, and younger girls who just get drunk with their friends because the guys aren't worth the time.
