I downloaded some karaoke songs from iTunes, but when I try to import it into Garageband to record, it says it can't import it because it is "protected ACC." Is there a way to get that taken off so I can import it into Garageband, or did I just waste money and am out of luck?

Try exporting it to your desktop and saving it as something other than an mp4 and then use that file in Garage Band. Or, burn it to a disk, then re-import it to Garage Band.
I've had problems using stuff dowloaded from itunes this way...I think so that they can keep tabs on your 3 copies...or whatever their policy is.

That sounds like it might work!

Nope. Everytime I try to save it to something, it says "Can't save to (whatever) . . . copyrighted material" So, I just deleted them and went another route.
Boobs--God, I know. I like Macs better than PCs, but sometimes I just want to scream. haha.

Posted: 1/2/07 at 6:31pmBurning them to an audio CD and then reimporting to iTunes WILL work, and your computer won't recognize them as copyrighted (unless they've changed it recently). Then you can do whatever you need to with them.
