I am attending a Linda Eder concert at Radio City Music Hall that evening, and don't know if I will be home on time to see SNL. Then again, they tape right across the street. Maybe I'll stick around and see if I can meet Megan.

About waiting to meet Megan...

I actually worked at NBC (though not on SNL) for awhile and sometimes I'd go to watch SNL rehearse. They actually have this room that overlooks the set, which they stop at for about 30 seconds on the NBC tour. I've seen some of the guides actually
let their tour into the area where the audience sits (which is one floor above the stage). If it's possible for you to do that, especially late in the week, you probably will catch them in rehearsal. One of my friends actually still works at NBC so I think I'm going to visit her and then go over to watch them rehearse for awhile.

Remember that after the show ends the host probably won't leave immediately...they always has a good amount of friends that come to watch the show (the people you see in chairs on TV). And when they do leave, they have a million exits so it's very hard to tell which they will use.

Having said that...the two side entrances (one on north side and one on the south side) are probably the best bet because they are closest. Which exit will probably depend on where they are headed after the show.

What I would do is go into the building from one of the side entrances, and wait by the set of elevators in the middle of the building. Those elevators are specifically for people to get to the sets (Rosie O'Donnell when she had her show, Conan O'Brien...etc). After they leave that area, there's no way to tell where they will go. I've heard some people even use the underground system (runs under the building) to leave, which means they can exit two blocks away if they want.

If anyone ends up trying to wait for her, definately let me know how it goes. I've met her once before and she was probably one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet so if you do meet her, I'm sure she'll be nice as ever. Good luck.

Yeah, It's always a chance when there are so many possible exits. I've actually been down on the floor level where they tape SNL. It's pretty neat. I'm not sure if I will stay and try to meet her. As it is she probably wouldn't get out until way after 1am, and I go to work at 7:30am on Saturdays, so I'm already going to be exhausted. I'll see how it goes.

I have no idea if thee are tickets left for Linda's concert. Check online. :)

I enjoyed the show. Glad to see that more of the country will be aware of Megan's amazing talent, not only as an actress but as a singer and dancer as well.

Ohh man I went out that night and missed it...does anyone know if and when they are re showing it??? She is one of my fave actresses and she def needs to come back to broadway!! Oh and Karen is my idol!!

My question about that episode is why, after a few weeks ago doing one of the Wake Up Wakfield skits with Mya Rudolph's charcter obsessing on her crush for Clay Aiken, didn't they do a Wake Up wakefield skit with Clay?

I ain't saying a word about them including Clay in the opening sequence with the gay chorus.

I loved it. I thought the opening sequence was funny, but could have been better written. She kind of kept singing the same lines over and over again. My favorite part was when she said, "Forget Will and Grace, call it Jack and Karen." I've been saying that for a while.

I agree with you Orion, I thought the same thing when I heard Clay was going to be on. I figured he would play himself or a lookalike and Mya would finally find a fleeting moment of happiness.

I was surprised how little they used Megan in the episode. Weekend Update was brilliant, especially Tina's analysis of the impact of gay marriage on the economy ($30,000 sleeveless tuxes).

I thought the show was one of the best I have seen in a while.. yes some skits could have been funnier, but at least they didn't go on and on like they usually do..... I also agree that they should have had Clay in an actual full skit.

It was a good show but I can't stand that zinger guy skit they did. They've done it a couple of times and it is so not funny at all.

yeah i wasn't a fan of the zinger skit either but i loved the oprah 50th bday skit!! it was hilarious! rachel dratch throwing the chair then getting her arm ripped off lol haha soo funny

A little O/T, but has anyone read Live From New York- the history of SNL? I'm halfway through it and it's pretty interesting...I think I'd like it more if I had been alive to see the beginning episodes (I haven't got up to the part in the book with the casts I've watched). What did you think of the book?

It's MAYA.

"Megan" has had crushes on Justin Timberlake and Adrian Brody too, but they didn't have them on Wake Up, Wakefield either. Why do it now? I think it's better that they don't anyway.

It will be aired again, probably in a couple months during a break.

She also had a crush on a character played by Jimmy Fallon, and she met him. There were so many opportunities, like a remote Wake Up Wakefield remote broadcast from a Clay Aiken mall appearance.

Oh my God!!!! I made a typo and left an A out of the woman's name. I should flogged for that.

Don't bother to correct my typos or you'll have to make a full time job of it. I've explained to people before that most of my time spent on this site is while I'm at work. I jump on while I am waiting for records that I work on to download...therefore, I type fast and make mistakes. People who have been around for a while reading my posts have gotten used to teh consistant typos of "taht" and "teh"...two of my most common ones.
