Did anyone catch this??

I thought he did great!

Nice to see him getting some Aaron Sorkin primetime screentime.

Dammit! I was going to watch this last night, but I fell asleep at a commercial before it started. Knowing Michael Stuhlbarg was on it just makes it even worse! re: Michael Stuhlbarg on NBC's 'Studio 60'

How was the show overall? I love Sorkin and all, but I'm not crazy about most of the cast. Amanda Peet and Matthew Perry have to be two of my least favorite actors, and D.L. Hughley and Steven Weber don't do a whole hell of a lot for me either. I do like Bradley Whitford a lot, but I'm not sure he can make up for the Peet/Perry disdain.

But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

Perry was surprisingly good - essentially playing Aaron Sorkin. D.L. Hughley plays one of the top comedians on the show-within-the-show, ands didn't have musch to do in the pilot. Amanda peet was OK as the new network head of programming, and Steven Weber was pretty much one-note as the nasty boss.

I really liked the pilot. great opening, and very smart writing. (duh) I am very interested in seeing where this show will go.

Say what you will about being one-note, but they all captured the essence of their characters.

The critics are saying Weber gets more depth in the second episode. Not that I'll be able to tell for a while; I just watched the leaked pilot ages ago and can't take on any more TV until summer.

Isn't the other lead, Bradley Whitford, playing Sorkin?
He's the showrunner character.
They're (he and Perry) probably just different sides of his personality...

OK - I came to the table with some Perry/Peet disdain, (I've never ever been able to get through an episode of Friends), and I think that Mr. Perry did a great job, especially in the scenes with his ex-girlfriend. I certainly believed that he had had addiction problems as well!!
:)

I think Amanda Peet does fine on the small screen.
Theater may not be best suited to her style of acting, but I think she did fine with what she had to work with.
I believed that the character totally gets off on conflict and challenges.

I hope Michael S. comes back for more episodes...

Does anyone know if he's going to return?
