Saturday will be a terrific night to go to Dizzy's Club Coca~Cola. Many of the artists will be stopping in there after their sets.
I understand Rita Coolidge was wowing the audience last night, and tonight as well. She's about to release an album of jazz.
Back to the benefit...some of the auction items include a guitar signed by Eric Clapton.

1) Liza's scheduled for the Wicked produced fundraiser on the 25th
2) Sid passed away last night so I can assure you she won't be at your little party tomorrow

For all the Friday evening people....
tomorrow night on Public Television, national broadcast, 7pm to 11pm.
It's times like this I wish I lived in New York, or at least close to it.
This show has a remarkable lineup. I guess I'll have to be content to catch it on TV.

Jose' - do you know if the Jon Hendricks that's listed is the man who worked on "Vocalese" with The Manhattan Transfer?

Yes, it is. The one and the same.

Thanks. I just checked, and it is playing on the West Coast (at least the LA area) but it is on time delay, so it starts at 7pm here, as well.

This is going to be quite an evening of musical entertainment.
I just left the sound check which has been going on since 10am...
Bette Midler with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra & Wynton Marsalis...James Taylor...Diana Krall...Paul Simon...Diane Reeves...Elvis Costello...so many more...
Please watch and, more importantly, donate to the Higher Ground Hurrican Relief Fund to help the musicians and the citizens of New Orleans, the birthplace of America's other art form (besides the Broadway musical)-- J A Z Z.
Damn! I wish I could set my Tivo from out of town...
Sounds like a great program.
Sounds fantastic! Wish I could be there, or even see it!
