Another one bites the dust. Personally, I never thought this guy was a real threat...I mean, he was Bush's budget director and oversaw the transformation from a budget surplus to a deficit. However, it looked like he was getting ready to jump in, since he was governing Indiana farther to the right than in the past. Also, the conventional wisdom among the punditry was the he was the GOP insiders preferred choice. I'd look for pressure to increase on someone like Chris Christie or Rick Perry to run.

unfortuntely, my support dooms him.

Posted: 5/22/11 at 12:25pmUnfortunatlet, Huntsman has spent the last week trying to distance himself from every moderate position he's ever taken. Huntsman gleefully spent Utah's stimulus money, supported cap & trade, and has very moderate positions on social issues. He's running away from all of that. Looks like he's trying to take the McCain approach to the nom.
