I have a really difficult time finding monologues. I was wondering if anybody here had a great site or resource that provides a search feature where you can filter by age, gender, ect for monologues from plays.
Also, it would help if anybody could post the names of any plays that other teen girls have found great audition monologues from.
Finally, what should I look for in monologues (besides similarities in age, character type, ect)? Like, how to know if it going to demonstrate acing ability..? I dont know if that makes sense.
Thanks for all the help!!

Barnes and Nobles has a wide variety of monologue books! Are you looking for contemporary or classical monologues? Also, what are your strengths? For example, I love doing those tear-jerker pieces, but my drama teacher tells me that those are pretty easy emotions that people can get into, so she tells me to explore more options. Hope this helps and let me know.

How to find monologues?

Read plays. Any play. All you can get your hands on.

Don't do monologues from monologue books. Just don't.

If I only had the time, what I would write for your delight...
