The Lord of the Rings flicks.
I'd say all three equally but even die hards that I know admit that 'The Two Towers' sucked.

Sideways- just waaay too hyped up.
Anything by Anthony Minghella, who knows how to make things look pretty and substance-free: The English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain

I'll second Trainspotting as well. Yuck!
And I would agree with The Matrix and Lord of the Rings, except I can understand how they would be popular with fans of the genre and they did include some wonderful cinematography and special effects.

I likes it but I didn't think it was that scary. The comercials made it seem scarier. Although, the movie was kinda ruined for me before I saw it, since I saw Scary Movie 3 first. :P

I’d like to second “American Beauty” and cast a third vote for “Forrest Gump” (what the hell was message of that movie…that life is easier and happier if you don’t understand or question anything that’s going on around you?).
Love4Cheno, I agree with all the Anthony Minghella films you listed, but have you seen his first movie, “Truly, Madly, Deeply?” It’s wonderful (kind of a smarter, more moving version of “Ghost).
