Well my old HS just did the World Amateur Premier of Sweeney Todd so that one should be out soon. A student version of Avenue Q was in process but it was deemed impossible because it wouldnt the same show. My old musical theatre teacher was on the creative team.
HSM2....dear god.

Posted: 3/3/08 at 10:56amDo you feel that RENT has the same nitty-gritty feeling in the student edition? Because that was why I was most afraid it would suck.

Yewww . . . HSM2. I can't believe they're actually making a third one, as well.
A student version of Sweeney Todd? Really?
I'm not even sure what to say to that. Is that really possible?

Posted: 3/8/08 at 4:15amIts called making money. They produce shows they know will make them a lot of money and HSM 1 made them a ton of money. My friend who works for them said they made more selling the right to that show than any other shows combinded..Good for them to getting on this train. I hate people who think that they are to good for HSM while I don't love it appreciate its place in theatre becaue it is getting people to the theatre who wouldn't normally go!
