Okay, so. I've been named co-director of the fall play for my high school and, well, we kind of need a play.
Unfortunately, the play we (me and the other co-director) pick has to meet certain "requirements" - it has to be a comedy and it has to have a large cast (say, 20+). No, this was not my idea, but I still have to conform to it.
I've been researching for comedies high and low, and I honestly can't find one that seems suitable for our school and has a big cast. We want something that appeals to teens, but something that adults can also find funny. And something that isn't raunchy, so little kids can see it. Pretty much, we want to appeal to all age groups.
Does anyone have any suggestions at all? Seriously, throw anything at me.
Ugh, I wish we could just do The Chronicles of Jane again. That was our most popular play in a while.

Play or Musical?

Play, I think I mentioned that a few times.
WOSQ, thank you for the suggestions! I saw Merrily We Roll Along before and it looked like a really good choice.

Okay well sometimes when people say play they are also talking about a musical, they use the word play to the same effect as show
