Paula had a huge record back in the day. She may not have been there for long.. but she was certainly there.

Good song, actually, in terms of being hook-y enough to get radio and video play. (That's coming from a radio professional. :) )
Yes, it's her voice, over-dubbed two or three times with a backing vocal or two as well. Not unusual for dance tracks. Plenty of Destiny's Child/Beyonce tunes, Kylie Minogue, and many other tinny-voiced pop stars have had their songs produced that way for years.
And she had more than one or two hits back in the day, for whatever that's worth to the youngin's on this board!
