Posted: 5/5/07 at 9:17pmPavarotti was operated on in July of last year for pancreatic cancer. This is usually a fatal disease but his was apprently "encapsulated" which makes surgery more effective. But I have not heard anything for a long time. He is 71, after all, and recuperation is going to be difficult.
