"O.C." Star Bares Memphis Soul

When you think of soul music, Peter Gallagher of The O.C. is not exactly the first image that comes to mind.

But Epic Records is betting on the actor's Otis Redding-inspired vocal chops, and will release an entire album of soul songs interpreted by Gallagher Nov. 8.

Is it bad that I kind of actually like Paul Anka's versions of Teen Spirit and Wonderwall. I actually think the arrangements are quite brilliant...and god knows it's better than him singing his own stuff.

And I really liked Peter Gallagher as Sky Masterson on the most recent revival CD.

I LOVE Peter Gallagher, so I'm excited about this! He's a wonderful singer and I can't wait to hear this album.

I am also a fan of Peter's work. This has been in the works a long time wonder if they will do an O.C. tie in in some way. I wish they would let him sing more. ( recently listening to the Guys and Dolls cd as part of my recovery)

We were browsing in Borders one day and this song started to play - we listened to almost the whole song before starting to get an inkling of what it was - though there was something barely recognizable about it - we looked it up on the computer and it was Paul Anka singing True (Spandau Ballet)...it was Heinous.

I love Peter Gallagher and will buy this the day it comes out. It may suck, but I gotta support King Sandy "EyeBrow" Masterson. :)

I love the OC but his singing last season was the low point of the whole season..YUCK!
