It sounds like a spin-off of Pokemon.

It was written by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt ("The Fantasticks") and ran 60 performances in '75. The original cast included Dick Latessa.

It was later shown on PBS.

I LOVE "Celebration"! I have a sneaking suspicion I love it more than "The Fantasticks". The authors have said they went a little overboard with all the winter/summer metaphors and imagery, but some of the music is terrific.
