In this time of financial hardship for nearly everyone, it becomes almost impossible to give to those organizations that rely on contributions to continue their work. For that reason many of these organizations are losing their funding and slowing down or even stopping their good work.
This is a wonderful way that you can help a worthwhile organization without spending a single penny. Just a few seconds of your time and you can help the Breast Cancer Site provide free mammogram screenings for those who cannot afford them. For some reason the number of people going here and giving that little 'click' has gone WAY down and their ability to provide these free diagnostic tests has been severely impacted. Won't you please give those few seconds of your time?
(While you're there, take a look at those other tabs across the top. All work the same way - one little 'click' and you've helped provide shelter to homeless animals, food for the hungry, and more.)
The Breast Cancer Site
A click for life.

I know it's considered poor form to kick your own thread up, but the need demands it.
The long and short of it is that it takes approximately 38,460 'clicks' on that pink button to get the advertisers on that site to pay for 1 mammogram. In 2007 the people giving those little clicks helped provide nearly 249 mammograms a month. In 2008 the number averaged nearly 243 per month. In the first 3 months of 2009, the average has only been 191 per month. Many of the advertisers who pay for these mammograms offered special bonus's when the monthly total equalled or exceeded 200. (Those bonuses are not included in the averages cited above.) They haven't qualified once this year and this month is starting out slower than ever.
The Breast Cancer Site is turning the tables and offering their own donation of $10,000 to GreaterGood.org for research into finding a cure for breast cancer IF they can get 200 mammograms paid for this month.
And all you have to do to help is click.
Won't you PLEASE take those few seconds and help? It won't cost you a thing. I promise. Cross my heart.
A click for life.
