Somehow, it does not seem right for Lifetime...
"It was announced today that Lifetime has stolen Bravo's hit show, "Project Runway," away from them. Lifetime signed a 5-year deal with The Weinstein Company to move the show beginning this November.
Bravo's owner, NBC, brought out the claws and filed a lawsuit against The Weinstein Company for taking their prized whore away. The Weinstein's lawyers said, 'While good for the market for lawyers, it is always unfortunate when parties try to win in court what they have lost in the marketplace.'"
Say It Ain't So
But why?!?
They say once you go to lifetime, you can never go back.
Just look at Meg Ryan.
"Does this mean they are going to replace Heidi, Nina and Michael with Blanche, Dorothy and Rose? I f**king hope so!"
Hilarious!! I hope they keep the show the same.
The winner gets to design Meredith Baxter's wardrobe in her next TV movie.
they were showing little things at the bottom of the screen on bravo today announcing auditions
Oh no! It's going to be family-ized! No more bitchiness! It's going to jump the shark!
Look on the bright side. Perhaps "Still Standing" reruns will finally be obliterated for good.
WEll, I hope they don't change the day and time or it will throw off my weekly schedule of dvr-ing!

Very funny, Calvin!
SO NOT FEROSH! It does seem like an odd fit. Maybe Kate Jackson or Valerie Bertinelli will guest judge.
Or Nancy McKeon!

Yaaaaay! I don't get Bravo at school, but I do get Lifetime! No more missing PR!
RIP PR.
According to excellent inside sources, it's a simple matter of cold hard cash. It seems Lifetime offered more money than NBC/Bravo offered for seasons 5-10 of Project Runway, so the producers (the Weinstein Company) felt they were free to jump ship to Lifetime. NBC/Bravo believes they legally retain the right to counteroffer before Runway can leave. The Weinsteins are saying that ain't so, no dice, see ya! But therein lies the terms of the lawsuit in normal-people-speak.

Gains Runway, Loses Girls
Hallmark Channel has bought the rights to The Golden Girls from Disney-ABC Domestic Television.
The Emmy Award-winning show will begin running on the cable network after February 2009, when it will leave its longtime home, Lifetime Television. The deal does not give Hallmark exclusive rights, however.

Awww, GOLDEN GIRLS is such a Lifetime staple.
Love how PROJECT RUNWAY is getting all this free publicity.
Well from what I understand, PR will have one last season on Bravo. (?)
It will probably be its highest rated season.
This past season of Project Runway was probably my least favorite. Least entertaining, anyway. They tried to keep it fresh by having all these weird challenges..and they barely used the models.. They also had too many product plugs.
Remember that model drama from season 1? That model from hell Morgan? BOY CAN SHE WALK! And that 16 year-old who looks like she wears **** me pumps. I need model dramz
I think the drama might still exist the producers just choose not to focus on the models.
Tim has mentioned the drama-less PR in a few interviews. He attributes this to the better grade of talent. The designers are more focused on the work than those of seasons past, and are less likely to 'go there.'

"NBC U owns the first five seasons of "Project Runway," which means older episodes of the show could conceivably continue to run on Bravo even after the originals move to Lifetime."
^ That makes me happy.
Although from what I've read on Victorya, I'd say the producers gave her a free pass. She was down right ugly.

Aren't the Golden Girls a bit risque for Hallmark? I mean, they took ALF off because he wasn't completely family friendly...
