If you were guaranteed honest responses to any three questions, who would you question and what would you ask?

If there is a higher power in the universe, I would ask, "What, if anything, is the reason for everything in general, and myself in particular?"
As concerns the reality we face here in America at the moment, I would ask Mr. Bush (in a public forum), "What is the reason for the current stance that America has taken in the world?"
On the most personal level, I would ask my partner, "Do you love me?"
How big is the universe?
Is there a God?
Why did Dawson's Creek have to end? I mean yeah it got a little tired there at the end, but all it needed was Kevin Williamson back for a while to get it back on track and everything would have been fine. Now, I'm not complaining about the final episode because it was the saddest and best ending I've ever watched, but I could have gone another 5 years at least with it. I really miss it.
Oh, Joey you've got to come over in a few weeks and we'll start with episode 1.

DGrants questions are excellent - I don't think we'll ever know the answers to first two. As for the third - I hope the answer's yes, but do you not trust the answer your partner gives now? If yes - change your last question! If no - feel more secure in yourself, I'm sure you're wonderful!
And Matt_G's third question - I want that answer too!
We have The OC now though...

Ellie - the fact of the matter is that I do trust him AND myself, or else I wouldn't be here. The only reason I said what I did is that, no matter how much you communicate with others, you can only really know things based on how you interpret them. Given the chance to know for sure - and since I have based my further existence upon that fact - I chose to ask just to know for sure. Because if that's in place, then all the rest of it really doesn't matter to me at all.

Why did Lucille Ball think she could pull off Mame?
Why did anyone think Katherine Hepburn could pull off a Broadway musical?
What were they thinking when they made "A Chorus Line" movie?

Sorry if I offended you DGrant, I didn't mean to. I just meant that if you trust him, all you have to do to find out for sure is to ask him! Either you trust him or you don't. If he says he does, why do you have to test it?

Ellie - I wasn't offended at all
And, of couse, you're right - all it boils down to is that when I considered the proposition of the three questions, I immediately went to what matters to me most right now in my life. Spiritually, question #1 would give me more of a foundation to work from. Mentally, #2 would give me more of an awareness of the parameters within which I currently live. And emotionally, #3 is what matters most.
The fact is, I pretty much have answers to all three of the questions - at least as far as I need to to get up each morning. All this exercise really did for me was help pinpoint what really matters the most to me.
1) Can I have the cure for all diseases.
2) Can I have one last chance to say Good-bye to my Mom.
3) Can I have the numbers that will come out in the next power ball.
Boobs, your #3 answer made me tear up a little...
Sorry jj..it's just that my Mom went into a coma before I even made it to the hospital and I don't know if she ever heard all that I said to her while she was in the coma. She never came out of it.
Rath..you always know what to say to make me laugh. Thanks darling.
Boobs, the same thing happened with my dad. We're convinced that he knew we were all there with him though. I believe he heard everything we said to him, and I believe your mom did too.
Thanks Rath...I feel that way too, but it would have been nice for her to respond and say what she needed to tell us too.
co·ma1 ( P ) Pronunciation Key (km)
n. pl. co·mas
A state of deep, often prolonged unconsciousness, usually the result of injury, disease, or poison, in which an individual is incapable of sensing or responding to external stimuli and internal needs.
You try talking back in that condition!
Thanks Rath...now what are we gonna do with all this money we're gonna win?
Well I'm so quitting my job, and so are you!! We're gonna see every show, travel everywhere we've ever wanted to go, buy a fabulous houses all over the world, including something fabulous here in the city, and then we're going to hire Stephen Sondheim to write a show for me and redhot.
I was thinking of buying a Broadway theater too. This way you, redhot and bwaysinger can do shows. Of course we'll audition other BWW members.
Whatever. As long as I'm the star, I don't care how it gets done.
Missy, that attitude will get you everywhere !!!
It hasn't so far!! Go buy the ticket!!!
Boobs--not only could she hear you when she was in that coma, she can also hear you now.
uh oh, Boobs...
