Romney: Since Mass. won't let people vote against gay marriage, we need a federal amendment

CNN reported on Friday that "a proposed constitutional amendment to define marriage as between a man and a woman will not make it on the ballot in Massachusetts."

They then showed Mitt Romney objecting that "they could either take the decision away from the people or they could give the decision to the people, and the state legislature of Massachusetts decided to not allow the people to vote on the definition of marriage."
Romney's proposed answer to this refusal to allow "the people" to choose was that "we need to have a Federal marriage amendment ... because states like Massachusetts will take the course they did."

Sexy as hell? If you think egg-dipped black shoe polish hair and Mormon plasticness is "sexy," I guess, maybe.

He's just upset because the country will NEVER vote a mormon into the white house.
What a twat. He's also getting chummy with the anti-abortionists.
Sigh! Welcome to Election Season.
What a Mormon!

He is not sexy. Even as hell.
I think so, he looks like a Hollywood icon of yesteryear. And... um love me some Mormon gringos.

A letter from a Cantabrigian:
Regarding "The Mormonator", most residents of Massachusetts are aware that the phenomenon known as Mitt Romney is a fictional character -- an odd creature who is to American politics what Britney Spears is to contemporary, creative music. Less is best with this fellow.
Given that from the last Republican national convention on, Romney has sneered like an aggressive ape whenever deigning to let the word "Massachusetts" cross his lying lips, it's sorta surprising that he's acting like if "the people" had the chance to vote bigotry into the Commonwealth's constitution, he would have said, "Well, the people spoke and now I'll shut up." Like he wouldn't have said, "Those INSANE citizens of Massachusetts voted in favor of gay marriage, which proves why we need a federal amendment banning it.
I think this ammendment would actually expidite the gay marriage "acknowledgement" business quite a bit. Kinda pissed when Bush didn't keep pushing it.
With something like this we would have no choice but make the issue valid.

Oh Yeah Mitt? A lot of people don't care much for them Mormons. Let's put that to a vote, K?
he's just freaking out that he's trailing a guy who isn't even in the race yet, "it's not fair! he should have to be in the race if he's gonna poll better than me! don't they know who i am??? i'm rick ja--uh, mitt romney. bitch!"
If he's not there already, Mitt needs to be added to the skank tank.

We are just getting warmed up with Freddy. July is going to be a hot one.
if freddy's smart he and rudy will both just sit back, gain in the polls and watch the others flame out as they desperately try to seem relevant.
Cheezedoodle- I SECOND that !

As a person who lives in Massachusetts, all I could say was good bye and good riddance Mitt. Oh and Don't let the door hit you in the butt as you leave the State House! (Not that he was ever there. The good people of Massachusetts will not be singing your praises in any way, shape or form.
the man is crazy....If a supposed "good christian" couldn't force this down the throats of Americans, why does he think a Mormon can?

Mitt is a pandering pr*ck.
When he was guvnah - he presented himself as much more moderate, but I still couldn't stand him.
And his hair looks like crap.
the good people of massachusetts will not be singing your praises in any way, shape or form.
i'm fuzzy on this whole good/bad thing.
like i've said before, the gay marriage amendment is a craven political tool pulled out by desperate people when they feel they need to try to drum up support from the batsh*t crazy wing of the gop. they know it has no chance of passing the house or the senate with the votes it would need to go to the states (none, zero, zilch, nada, anyone who says it could pass is a liar), so it's just a political tool that they can wield with little or no consequences to them which makes it that much more odious.
Papa, this guy will say anything to get elected. He changes his mind, to suit whoever he is speaking to.
He's always reminded me of being "corpse-like".
my god! i've never heard of this quality before in a politician! i'm shocked, shocked i tell you. not that i supported him before or have any plans to do so in the future. so who again are the "good" people and who are the "bad" people in mass.?
