Um, on today's episode Mia was flying into Salem and the flight attendant said that they were landing at O'Hare.

So, Salem is in Illinois? Wow, not where I thought it would be? Maybe New England or Oregon, but not in Illinois.

Enh.

And wtf, Stefano is out of his coma (that Lexi put him in) and now he is NICE? Excuse me?

If you can't tell I havent watched in a while.

I did the google map thing and there is a Salem in Illinois. You have to watch out in America, there are towns with the same name in many states. Like Manhattan in Idaho. Fortunately, there is only one Orcas Island, Sequim, or Bainbridge Island

Ah hm my mistake. It's the Manhattan cafe in Idaho. there are towns of Manhattan in Kansas, Nevada, Montana and Illinois. (Oh, yeah, there's that one in New York, too.)

Salem, IL is much closer to St. Louis, MO (than ORD)...so they really would have flown into STL

It's a fictional town supposedly near Chicago or in the Midwest somewhere. It's not based on the actual Salem, Ill., which is a fairly small city and doesn't have an airport, that big harbor (it's landlocked!), big high-rise office buildings and all the other things necessary to typical soap opera parts. Much like All My Children takes place near Philadelphia but is still set in a fictional burb.
