I wasn't going to do it...but I'm asking anyway.
I am leaving tomorrow for a trip to San Francisco and would love any tips on places to visit, things to do, etc. Specifically, I want a kicka$$ taqueria place to visit and a vegetarian restaurant for a good dinner but, other than that, anything would also be welcome in terms of cool shops, sights, etc.

Stay away from the Tenderloin Disct.

Unless you like stepping over crack heads and into puddles of urine.

San Fran's Museum of Modern Art is well worth a visit. A great collection and the architecture is spectacular!

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

DAME STOLE MY PICTURE!!! :)

The Union Square area is nice (shops, theaters) but most of the rest of the city is a pit. Dirty, bums everywhere....far worse than NYC. There are pretty areas, you just have to find them. The pier 39 area is nice but lots of tourists.

You must visit Castro :)

Anastacia,
I didn't steal your pic. I have had it forever and also got a printed one from the original source.

If you see my ex-partner, kick him in the face.

Creature of habit that he is, he still does his grocery shopping at the Safeway on Church every Saturday afternoon (so my sources say). That'd be a good place to start...

And stop by Sacramento and Gough and say hi to my old apartment for me re: San Fran tips

(Oh, and feel free to enjoy the after-hours festivities in Lafayette Park! :-P)

Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you. Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

The best pasta I've had in San Fran is at Scala's, located in the Sir Francis Drake Hotel, near Union Square. Kick ass food, and great atmosphere, with friendly staff.

I recommend it to EVERYONE!

While I have enjoyed the kicking requests...I am sorely disappointed that NOONE has let darling bway know where he can find some tips.

You know, you TRY to post a thread out of the purety of your heart and the whole thing's just perverted. But it's not like I'd be using any of these tips. re: San Fran tips
