Discuss? Is that all?
To respect such a poor idea, I think you should start by giving your opinion first.

Posted: 2/24/06 at 5:32amfavorite tv show ever, but I think without the original actors, it would have the same feel the new class did, which sucked.

Posted: 2/24/06 at 10:03amThey should build the musical around the whole Jessie getting addicted to the caffeine pills episode. The girls are getting there big break, but Jessie is so concerned about rehearsing that she gets addicted to the pills. The big showstopr would be her manic version of "I'm So Excited" as Zak tries to console her in her bedroom. The Tony voters would run up to the stage, hand the award over right then, and a new classic American musical would be born.

Only if you incorporate the Zach getting drunk at the frat party episode, where he ruins Lisa's car. That's my personal fave.
And only if I can be in it. :)

I'd pay to see this. There are already some musical numbers they could use.
"Put Your Mind To It Go For It" or whatever it's titled, when the girls made the jazzercise video.
There could be a prom scene with poor Kelly Kapowski watching from the outside because her blue-collar father couldn't afford a dress.
John Tartaglia as Screech?
Kerry Butler as Violet, the Tori Spelling character
Anika Noni Rose as Lisa

Hugh Jackman as Slater? Lol.
Hmmm...what about the glee club scenes...pretty boring but feature song.
And the Jessie drug scene...classic.

Yeah, Hugh Jackman as Slater, I don't know. He'd have to wear a jheri curl wig.
Since Mambo Kings never made it B'way, maybe one of those actors could play AC Slater.
Is this pre- or post-Miss Bliss?

Posted: 2/24/06 at 4:01pmPost- Miss Bliss, unless that can be like an opening number or something.

Posted: 2/24/06 at 4:58pmRight now I'm imagining the theme song from the show translated into a full-blown, epic, magical, musical opening number. "It's aaaaall right, cause I'm saved by the belll!!!"

Well, the HAPPY DAYS musical is opening soon in Los Angeles, with Joey McIntyre as the Fonz and Ernie Sabella as Arnold (even though it should be "Al" - Arnold was Japanese).

Remember their band? Zack Attack! That was always so bazaar. At the prom when Zack & Kelly break up, Jesse & Slater are singing "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You" on stage like legendary singers. Oy.
Oh, and Hugh Jackman could be Slater's FATHER maybe! Not Slater. We need young people. Oh, and I'd want to get Miss Bliss in there somehow. And Wendy! Remember her? The chubby girl that Zack was nice to. (Couldn't they have come up with a better name than Wendy!? I mean, seriously, Wendy!?)

I'm pretty sure Jesse's pill problem was from studying for the SAT. The girls' performance thing was just added stress.
I think this is a great idea. The show could cover their years in high school, a little like Grease. They could even have fun with Tori character coming out of nowhere and them pretending like Jesse and Kelly never existed...I'm pretty sure they even repeated their senior years with the Tori cast.

No, Jessie took the drugs because she had too stay awake so she could study for a geometry test.
Marissa Jaret Winokur --> Wendy?

Good choice! Though I think Marissa is too pretty for Wendy and has too much personality. Wendy should have the personality of a brick, not a firecracker.
And re: Zack Morris, how about John Hill? And as Screech, Logan-Marshall Green.
