NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!1
But what about the Chocolate salty balls!
Hehe the balls will be sleeping with the worms...
I'm gonna miss his chocolate salty balls...
yea, whatever...
he's voiced some of the most on-the-edge juvenile lines that has lampooned tons of beliefs and did not say a word until it targeted Scientologists...
that's inconsistent and two-faced..
see ya, Chef.. let's get another animated dude for the role.. Chef should be written off as having been abducted by an Alien ship piloted by Travolta..
Isaac Hayes, who is a Scientologist, says he has become uncomfortable with the way 'South Park' satirizes religion and other beliefs.
funny how specific religions have a problem with Freedom of Speech......
No, no.
They should right him off and say he has a love affair with Tom Cruise...and must flee Jimbo.
Hayes must live by the motto "It's funny until it happens to me."
FidoRock nailed it.
I'll bet this ends up being a truly "very special episode" of South Park.
Can't wait to see what happens to Chef in that one.
It's amazing to me how many people seem to have such a great sense of humor... except when it's pointed at themselves.

Ditto FidoRock - although I will miss Chef and his chocolate salty balls.
Amen, FidoRock.
It's been months since that episode aired, even longer since it was created and Isaac Hayes just now decides he was insulted enough to quit? Bullsh*t, his "church" or it's followers or something put pressure on him until he caved. No way was this entirely his decision; if he were that upset over it initially, he would have already quit.
I completely agree with what everyone else has been saying though. I hope Chef runs off with Tom Cruise and they have alien babies together.

Total speculation on your part.
Chef could be the newest recipient of the "Biggest Douche in the Universe" award a la John Edward on that previous episode.
was it that hard on scientologists?
you be the judge!
SP is harder on the Mexicans.
They were supposed to rerun the Scientology episode tonight, and instead they're running "Chef Aid" and "Salty Chocolate Balls." Is it in "tribute" to Hayes' leaving, or is CC being a bunch of smartasses?
Or were they pressured into pulling the episode? I really wanted to see it, too...
Too bad Barry White's no longer with us... I'd say recast. When Mary Kay Bergman died tragically the show marched on. Chef (like ALL of South Park's characters) is iconic, and I think the character is more important than the stunt voice behind him. He's too young and doesn't have that '70s r&b vibe, but even Tone-Loc could work.
you can, or could, watch the entire episode by clicking on the link in my previous post.
They should get Jim J. Bullock or Leslie Jordan to do the voice now.
snoop dog would be funny
I say kill the character off.
hypocrite...party of one. your paycheck is ready.

Ooh! Will do!
